Nest - Off the wall

The Nest Off the Wall campaign, directed by the multi-talented Dael Oates for Friends Electric, launched the Nest E-home thermostat with a one minute commercial created with an unusual mix of live-action, 2D, and 3D (Houdini) techniques.
Designed in New York and Los Angeles, shot in Prague, and post-produced in Los Angeles by Electric Theatre Collective, I supervised the 3d parts and built a houdini workflow to ingest the 2d animation coming from flash to render it with a paper puppet style.
