GWR - Famous Five

In 2017, Adam&EveDDB and Pete Candeland from friends electric, partenered with ETC London to bring to life the well known british children's adventure novels "the famous five" in a 60 seconds commercial. 3d was combined with 2d matte painting, and traditionnal 2d animation was added to the character's faces to stay as close as possible to Eileen Soper's style. All the renders were finally printed on paper then scan to get the final look.
I personally supervised this project in London for 2 months as well as working on the layouts, lighting, renders, scene management.
